Light edge wear and rubbing to jacket, light wear to cloth; very good. Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Co., 1951. A Walk on the Wild Side. Some wear to jacket with area of glue residue on back panel, portion of illegible stamp on front inner flap, a few minor closed tears; very good in like jacket. New York: Farrar, Straus and Cudahy, [1956]. The Last Carousel. Light toning to jacket, light spotting to cloth; very good or better. New York: J. P. Putnam's Sons, 1973. America Eats (Iowa Szathmary Culinary Arts Series). A bit of fading to jacket; else fine. Iowa City: University of Iowa, 1992. Five first editions from Chicago writer Nelson Algren. He is likely best known for The Man with the Golden Arm, a 1949 novel that won the first National Book Award, and was adapted as a 1955 film of the same name starring Frank Sinatra.
