Jonathan Cape, 1958. single volume, first edition, first printing, 8vo, (195 x 135mm), second state binding, black cloth with dancing girl silhouette to upper cover, silver lettering to spine, dust-jacket priced 13s. 6d., design by Pat Marriot, further within clear protective wrapper, SIGNED by Ursula Andress in black ink on front free e/p., 'Ursula Andress / Honey Rider', below which she has drawn a heart motif, 256pp. Gilbert A6a (1.3); with an accompanying typescript note of provenance and a flyer for the book signing event loosely inserted. Ursula Andress (b. 1936). is a Swiss actress and former model who became internationally famous for her role as Honey Rider in the 1962 film adaptation of the same title. The author's sixth novel in the Bond series being the first in the franchise starring Sean Connery as fictional MI6 agent James Bond. Provenance: 'This book was signed in the presence of the present owner by Ursula Andress at a signing event in London on October 30, 2005 (the flyer for the event is enclosed). Only 7 editions were signed in this way'. (Qty. 1). Condition Report: clean bright boards, front lower corner marginally scuffed, foot of spine a little bumped, dust-jacket in very fine condition, save two small insignificant foxing spots to the rear panel, clean and crisp internally, a near fine copy.
