Diepenbeek" and n. (sl. waterstain mainly along right margin and a smaller stain to left margin, old creases on lower half). Mounted on paper support. The Holy Virgin (dressed here as a nun surrounded by three winged putti with the Holy Spirit descending in a nimbus. The iconography refers to the Book of Genesis (3:15), where the trickery of the snake is undone through Virgin Mary and the birth of the Messiah.
