All signed S. Brouwn in pen in lower right corner. The series dates from 1960 and is also known as Passanten (Passers-by). Very good copies. Extremely rare large series, one of which is held at the Moma/ Art & Project collection in New York.
The artist described the work as follows: Brouwn scatters blank sheets of paper on the sidewalks of Amsterdam. Passers-by on their way from A to B who cross Brouwn's route, leave their footprints on the sheets of paper. Brouwn later collects these pieces of paper.
