(8 3/16 x 5 3/8 x 1 3/16 [1 1/8] in.), contemporary red straight-grained morocco, A PRIZE BINDING OF TRINITY COLLEGE, DUBLIN, covers with the gilt-blocked arms of the College, smooth spines in six gilt-panelled compartments, g.e. with fore-edge paintings of MILTON COTTAGE AND ST. GILES CRIPPLEGATE (MILTON'S BIRTHPLACE), some rubbing to joints and extremities, spines a trifle faded . Engraved title to vol. 1, engraved frontispieces and 3 plates. Provenance : Edward William Scott etched prize forms dated 1800, mounted onto front pastedowns; Mary Vinox, ownership inscriptions dated 1803 on title-pages. (2)
