The first of yataghan form, with single-edged blade with gilt decoration along one side, the silver hilt and wood-lined scabbard cast with foliage in low relief along each side; the second with single-edged blade with faint traces of 'Sarajevo' inscription in silver along one side, and hilt with green-stained 'eared' bone grip-scales decorated with pigment-filled brass roundels and nails, in later leather scabbard; the third Greek and with single-edged blade engraved on one side, and engraved brass hilt with characteristic 'eared' bone grip-scales, in original leather-covered scabbard with pewter mounts; the fourth with silver-damascened blade, and with silver filigree hilt and scabbard, the former set with a red coral bead on each side; the last with slightly curved double-edged blade dated on one side below the tughra of Mehmed V, and with the Declaration of Faith in Arabic script on the other, and waisted hilt covered in embossed brass, in its wood-lined scabbard (split) en suite (5) 12 cm. to 22 cm. blades
