Lot of 4 cased images. Half plate daguerreotype portrait of a couple. Davis & Co.: [Boston]. A middle aged gentleman sits in a dark suit next to an attractive woman wearing a dark dress and a cameo brooch at her lace collar. "Davis" hallmark on brass mat. Housed in full pressed paper case. (Image quite fine, some spotting to mat, minor scuffing to case extremities). Quarter plate tintype portrait of a couple. [Samuel] Anderson & [Samuel] Blessing: 134 Canal St., New Orleans, n.d., ca late 1850s. They sit next to each other affectionately holding hands, the man's arm wrapped around the attractive young woman. Their cheeks have been delicately tinted in pink. Plate stamped "Griswold's Patented Oct..." Housed in original pressed paper case with photographers' hallmark gilt to case front board and gilt border. (Minor wear to case extremities, glass would benefit from cleaning). Quarter plate daguerreotype of a couple. F.[elix] Moissenet: New Orleans. A handsome young couple sit, the man with his arm around his wife. Moissenet hallmark to brass mat. Housed in pressed paper case with gilt borders. (Light scratches to image, case split). Quarter plate daguerreotype of a couple, each with their hands facing palm up in their laps. Housed in a pressed paper case.
