Fourteen Egyptian scarabs and scaraboids Mostly Second Intermediate Period - Third Intermediate Period, circa 1786-664 B.C. Including ten of white steatite, one with a flower on the wingcase and an intertwined pattern on the underside, 15mm; one with a striding figure holding a uraeus, 18mm, both Second Intermediate Period; one in the form of a couchant lion, 12mm; a tiny scarab of Egyptian blue, 8mm; one with two walking gods, 12mm, and three others, all New Kingdom; two with Rams heads, one wearing a plumed crown with rams horns, 25th Dynasty, 21mm; a large white steatite scarab with a striding sphinx and a scarab on the underside, 13/8in (3.5cm); and three others, one a black stone cowroid, another uninscribed of green feldspar, and a small brown stone scarab, 8mm longest, mounted on Blanchard Museum index cards with descriptions in ink (14)
