[France] Recueil des pièces les plus curieuses qui ont esté faites pendant le règne du Connestable jusqu'à présent […]. France, s.n., 8vo: [40]-pp. (minor soiling). Contemp. vellum (def. at bottom edge, head, tail), flat spine. Good copy. Very rare, probably 1st ed. of an anonymous collection of some pieces of verses and pamphlets by various authors, listing the names of the Chevaliers, with their rank "Qu'ils tenoient en allant a l'Eglise", and describing the events of the last two years in the life of Charles d'Albert, Duke of Luynes (1578-1621), Minister and favourite of King Louis XIII. He became Constable of France in but died shortly afterwards while on a campaign against the Huguenots. Ref.
