This part I covers Inca life and the social and economic system of early Peru, written by the Cuzco-born son of a Spanish conquistador and a Peruvian noblewoman, as related to him by his mother’s family and from the works of Blas Valera, Peurvian-born Jesuit. Part II, on the Spanish conquest of Peru, was first published in folio, Cordoba 1617. Vega’s contribution to early Inca history is unequaled.
