Lot of 8, including: 2 unmounted prints of George Armstrong Custer as a major general, each approx. 4.25 x 6.25 in. Lithograph, 4.25 x 6 in., promoting a dramatic reenactment of the Battle of Little Big Horn, a "Forepaugh Equestrian Spectacular Tragedy," with a depiction of the battle on the front, reverse side with additional advertisement, which reads in part, "Bear in Mind this is the only original great Wild West Show now in America, the only one that will come here. The only one exhibited 3 Consecutive Months in the City of New York..." Philadelphia, PA: Anvil Printing Co., n.d. Light toning, some inked notes on reverse side. Cotton invitation adorned with dogs and birds, with printed text, "You are Cordially Invited to Attend a Calico Ball to be given by Geo. A. Custer Relief Corps, at Garfield Hall, Howard St., bet. 15th and 16th. Tuesday Eve., April 8, 1890. / Tickets One Dollar." Staining on textile, possibly a result of being mounted in album previously.
