Remarks Minne first showed this sculpture, of which the conception of forms is related to ancient Egyptian art, at Les Vingt in 1890. Here Minne starts a series of sculptures in which he achieves great tragic expressiveness through an extremely delicate modelé and a form synthesis that already refers to expressionism.
