Berg, Gertrude (1899-1966). American actress, screenwriter and producer. DS, 1 p., "National Association of Performing Artists, New York." July 25, 1930. Berg signs in order to pay her dues to the association. Berg gained stardom by playing the role of the quintessential Jewish mother in the radio series "Rise of the Goldberg." She earned a Tony and Emmy for lead actress in that role. Booth, Shirley (1898-1992). American stage, film, radio and television actress. DS, 2 p., "Kated Company, New York." October 25, 1925. A contract for Booth to perform on the radio program, Kate Smith Hour. Booth stared in many Broadway plays including including "Come Back, Little Sheba" and earned her first Tony award for that role. She starred in it a second time in the movie version in 1952, and earned an Academy Award and Golden Globe for her performance. During the 1960s, she played the title role on the television series Hazel. In the 1970s she was Grace Simpson on A Touch of Grace. She died October 16, 1992 in North Chatham, Massachusetts. Condition: Both are in good condition with light surface soiling.
