Framed Group including 2 panoramic photos and two images of a Colonel Pattee, professionally framed together, 18.5" x 62" overall. The panoramas are both part of Indianapolis photographer North H. Losey's series taken in July 1913 at the encampment commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The lower photograph, 6" x 57.25"(sight), is Photo #1 of the set, titled Peace Re-Union Camp of the Blue and Gray, showing the hundreds upon hundreds of tents in place to house the veterans, while the upper photo, 6" x 50.5", is the more rare Photo #2, The Gettysburg Battlefield / Panorama from Ziegler's Grove Observatory / Looking South. Both are inked several times marking important locations on the battlefield and the names of certain memorials. Also included in the frame is a souvenir medal from the reunion and two photographs of a Col. Pattee, one showing him in an Old Fiddlers uniform, the other showing him playing the violin with his grandson, inked Col. Pattee at 79 and grandson - an apt scholar. Condition: Very good plus. Some of the inked identifications have begun to fade, and there is some light vertical creasing on the panoramas, from being rolled and stored.
