The image reads well beneath clear varnish with impasto preserved throughout the lower half of the composition. 3 small spots of repair are visible to the naked eye in the upper right quadrant in the sky. Under UV inspection, retouching in the areas surrounding the 3 small spots is visible, as well as very few scattered dots and thin lines in the dark sky, a few on the column at the extreme left, and a few to reinforce waves in the water. Overall the painting is in good condition and is ready to hang. Offered in a carved giltwood frame with decorative corners. The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale. The
