"Unless I otherwise inform you by telegraph, I will leave Washington on Tuesday next, in the 12:30 p.m. train. The children being at school now it is not our purpose to take them with us. If Mrs. Dent [a relation of Grant's wife, Julia Dent Grant] goes I will probably take her husband also. Mrs. Grant's and my best regards...." [ with ] Original envelope franked by O.E.
