Venice: Aldine Press, January 1521. Aldine 8 o . Greek type 4:79. Aldine dolphin-and-anchor device 6 on title, repeated on final verso. 30 lines and headline. Initial spaces with guide-letters. (Ink stamps on title, some light browning.) 19th-century red morocco gilt. Second Aldine edition. According to Renouard, Aldus had used his own annotated copy of Janus Lascaris's 1494 editio princeps as exemplar for his first edition of 1503 and continued his revisions after it was published.
