Pastedowns : two large fragments from a Babylonian Talmud (Talmud Bavli) manuscript on vellum, written in a Sephardic Hebrew square script, probably in Italy, 15th century. Both fragments are from the Kiddushin tractate. The front pastedown contains text from folio (daf) 34,A and concerns commandments that are time-bound (therefore women are exempt from them); the second fragment (daf 42,B) concerns assessing the value of goods or real estate. ALL EARLY MANUSCRIPTS, EVEN FRAGMENTS, OF THE BABYLONIAN TALMUD ARE RARE.
