(10.2cm.); a Hellenistic lamp with moulded rosettes and early Roman style crescent handle, 5¼in. (13.2cm.); two Egyptian red ware lamps, one disc-like, with seven perforations in the discus and moulded triangular pattern around, with small projecting nozzle and side handle, now missing, 1st Century B.C./A.D., 3¾in. (9.4cm.) and a double-wicked lamp with triangular thumb-spur moulded with Serapis on a throne, 5½in. (14cm.), one nozzle missing and a triangular thumb-spur fragment moulded with the bust of Zeus-Serapis, 3in. (7.5cm.), both 1st-2nd Century A.D.; an Italian brown glazed lamp with angular flared nozzle, side spurs and moulded with two figures, 1st Century B.C., 43/8in. (11cm.), handle missing; a North African red glazed lamp, moulded with a small figure holding a giant club behind his back, with maker's stamp on the underside, 2nd Century A.D., 4in.
