HENRI MATISSE Nu au coussin bleu (D. 442) lithograph, 1924, on Arches, signed in pencil, from the edition of 50 (there were also 10 artist's proofs), the full sheet (trimmed to slightly within the image -- the signature partially affected and the numbering no longer present), two unobtrusive brown spots in the lower right image near the sitter's ankle, a skillfully reattached area at upper right sheet edge measuring 1 3/8 x 5/8 inches, a skillfully repaired tear at the upper left sheet edge measuring ½ inch, minor staining to the reverse of the extreme sheet edges (slightly showing through), otherwise generally in good condition, framed S. 25½ x 18 13/16 in. (648 x 477 mm.)
