Henry Simpole 18K Gold Jasmin FP * Premiere Example

Archive
Estimate: US$2,000 - US$2,500
Price realised:  n. a.
Lot number 88, Views: 4

This 18K gold openwork filigree masterpiece was inspired by a pen created by George W. Heath, an early 20th century New Jersey jeweler whose overlay pens are highly valued by collectors, and whose work has been a major influence on Mr. Simpole's designs. The filigree is overlaid on a black hard rubber Conway Stewart body. The pen is dedicated to Jasmin Cameron, a founding member of the Writing Equipment Society. 155mm. Fine 18K gold two-tone Conway Stewart nib, slight flex. Outer box, lizard leather-patterned display box, illustrated leaflet, signed limitation certificate. Limited Edition: No. 1 of an unspecified number of made-to-order pens not exceeding 10 examples. Excellent condition, not inked. A gorgeous pen, must be seen to be believed.
