Rowe is said to have worked on it for 20 years and passed away the year it was published. Condition: Joints worn and scuffed, covers loosening. The textblock is solid and firm. There is modest toning to the text but the contents are fresh and the engravings, including the frontis and the large folding engraved map, and vignettes are Very Good.
