Contemporary calf, gilt ornaments in panels of spine, blindstamped border round sides, gilt oval ornament at centre (rather worn, head of spine repaired). Provenance : the Jesuits at Courtrai (17th-century inscription on title); Charles Jacomb (bookplate). Provenance : contemporary, and mostly deleted, ownership inscription on title; Edward Davies Rector of Llanwryn, 1746 (inscription on a pasted in slip). An uncommon edition dedicated by Vives to Henry VIII; and 5 others similar.
