A Russian silver-gilt and cloisonné enamel bratina with matching lid, gilt interior, richly decorated with coloured opaque and translucent cloisonné enamel shaped as flowers and foliage, conical final, lid with star pattern, body with beading edge and chased leaves, below which circular and floral cartouches, round base with four step-shaped legs. Ivan Petrovich Chlebnikov, marked with the Imperial Warrant as purveyor to the Imperial Russian Court, assayer Ivan Sergeievich Lebedkin in Moscow 1896–1908, 84 standard. Weight c. 606 g. H. 16 cm. Diam. 10.7 cm. (2). Provenance: The Danish seller inherited the bratina in the 1980s from a lady in Copenhagen, whom she helped with various chores. When the lady died, the seller received it as a memento from the lady’s heirs. The lady had originally acquired it on auction in Copenhagen around the 1940s.
