Latin text. 7 title or section titles each with engraved title-surrounds, 5 with the titles on pasted over-slips, 357 maps, 355 double-page, 2 folding, extra-illustrated with an additional map of Sardinia. (Some spotting and browning,many maps torn at centre-folds, some creased, one map in volume one torn away with loss, other small tears mostly to the blank margins, the lower outer corners of the first 50 leaves of volume one damaged.) Contemporary vellum (worn, spines lacking, several covers detached.); sold not subject to return. Volume I contains maps of the World, Europe and Scandinavia; volume II France and the Low Countries; volume III Spain, Italy, Asia, and the Americas; volume IV Great Britain.
