Ex Collection of Dr. Herman Charles and Jannette Groman of Hammond, IN. Dr. Charles (1882-1954) was an Olympic athlete, winning bronze in the 1904 St. Louis games. The majority of this collection is assumed to have been gathered during the years immediately prior to World War II, while the family was residing in Hong Kong. Condition: Heavily oxidized from use.
