Engraved additional title, portrait of Charles II of Spain, 19 engraved plates, plans and maps, 2 half-page, 10 double-page, 3 folding, numerous illustrations, 14 engraved including full-page, and 102 wood-cut vignette illustrations of birds and animals. (Some browning and spotting, double-page plate after Q1 browned, folding plate after P2 with small tears at folds, occasional small marginal tears.) 18th-century speckled calf, spine gilt, uniform with lots 68-71 (later spine labels, spine rubbed and slightly chipped, neat old repair at foot). FIRST EDITION of this monograph on the ark. Caillet 5768; Merrill 26.
