Beschreibung:

12, 20, 28 & .410 gauge ventilated rib four barrel set, all 28" in length. S/N 12000. Serial number makes this the very first K-80 produced, making it an historic and important shotgun. Blued finish, deeply chiseled engraved receiver with full coverage and yellow and white gold inlaid game scenes of a dog and birds on the wing on the reverse and birds on the wing with a bird of prey in full attack on the obverse. The gold inlays are the larger, primary image in each scene with the white gold depicting the smaller secondary images. Engraving executed by Krieghoff master engraver Gerhard Reich. All of the detailed panels are surrounded by highly detailed Arabesque and foliate scrolls with foliate backgrounds. Krieghoff Gold Crown on bottom of receiver and marked in four lines in gold K 80 / SHOT GUNS / of ULM / W-Germany. Exhibition grade, highly figured Turkish walnut stock is stunning with finely checkered pistol grip and checkered forend. Single select trigger, 14.3125" length of pull, 1.375" drop at comb and 1.875" drop at heel. 12 gauge barrels are equipped with Tula chokes. This special style of choke, developed by the Russian skeet shooting team based upon the influence of the Cutts Compensator of US shooting team A5s results in a slightly lengthened and more consistent shot column. The set is contained in a form fit NASCO All American aluminum travel case with crushed green velvet lining. An exceptional set for the most discriminating shooter or advanced Krieghoff collection in outstanding condition with the highest level of fit, finish and embellishment from one of the finest shotgun makers in the world. Current Krieghoff pricing would place this set at approximately $70,000 were the same level of custom quality and features to be ordered from them today. A Krieghoff factory letter confirming the configuration and information about this gun is included as well. Condition: About excellent overall, showing little use if any. Essentially retains all of the finish with some potentially minute thinning from handling. Crisp engraving and checkering, fine bright gold inlays and decorations. Mechanically excellent, fine bright bores. Stock with only the most minute light handling marks. Overall a wonderful and exceptional sporting set in a fine case that shows almost no wear.
