Beschreibung:

LA GAZETTE 8/7/1684, large 8vo, 23x17cm, 8p., complete, Paris 1684. Some marginal worming, otherwise very good condition. The Christian attack had started in all fronts. A huge Austrian army had invaded the still Turkish Hungary and started to move towards Buda and Pest. Detailed description of the operations. In the Adriatic front, Mocenigo the Venetian General had started the operation in Dalmatia. He had crashed the Turkish Pasha of Belgrad and took for prisoner his nephew, then moved on to the city of Clim. The Venetians moved on in Turkish Bosnia, but these operations were to hide the main military target of Venice, their expedition towards Greece which just started. The main Venetian army under Morosini, the Venetian admiral, had arrived in Zara on board with 70 ships, also the military fleet under Cornaro and Molino had arrived already in Corfu with all war ships and transports full with ammo and provisions. A very big campaign is obviously ready to start. Detailed description of the operations.
