Nuremberg, 1602. Oblong 8 o (149 x 187 mm). 58 engraved plates each with 2 or more lacework patterns. Contemporary calf, blind stamped with central arabesque medallion within a roll tooled border, "Model Buch" stamped in gilt dated "1603" on upper cover, silk ties, gilt edges (light staining and minor worming). Provenance : Carl J. Ulmann (bookplate). Second edition of this very rare lace book, with excellent impressions of the engravings in a fine contemporary binding.
