Contemporary sheep, single gilt filet (rebacked with original spine laid down, corners repaired). Provenance : shelf-mark in ink on front free endpaper. FIRST EDITION, presented in the form of a Masonic catechism, with a 'dialogue' on architecture being a series of questions and answers between a pupil and his master. Harris 413; RIBA 1730.
