Title: Large collection of photographs of Israel and Egypt in the days following the Six Day War, June 1967 Author: Montfort, Michael Place: Publisher: Date: 1967 Description: Approximately 300 black & white photographs. Various sizes, 5¼x7¼ to 9½x11¾". Scenes of the damage caused during the June 1967 conflict between Israel and Egypt as well as scenes of daily life, soldiers, military vehicles, structures, etc. Some identified and/or signed by Montfort's on the rear. Also some photographs of Morocco. A significant archive. Provenance: The Estate of Michael Montfort. Michael Montfort was born in 1940 in Freiburg, Germany. He worked as a photojournalist on the staff of major German magazines - Stern, Quick, Bild am Sonntag - in Hamburg and Munich. In 1973 he moved to Los Angeles. He is best remembered for his extensive photographing of the poet Charles Bukowski. Lot Amendments Condition: Photos curling at edges, light wear, some marked for editing; very good overall. Item number: 251753
