These images, formed by the juxtaposition of multiple smallish lines call to mind cosmic radiation. Survage could have authored the first abstract film. Léon Gaumont was contacted for the shooting but the breaking out of the war put and end to the project. Forty nine of these Coloured Rhythms were bought by the MoMA in 1939
