(Some occasional pale spotting.) Contemporary calf, covers with double blind triple-fillet borders centering a gilt-stamped medallion (spine chipped at head, lightly scuffed). FIRST EDITION. The Tishby , a dictionary of 712 Hebrew words in talmudic and post-talmudic language with a Latin translation, is of major importance in the history of Hebrew grammar. It contains many examples of the pronunciation and vocalization of talmudic and post-talmudic Hebrew words by the German and Italian Jewish communities.
