Performed by Order of the Government of the United States, in the Years 1804, 1805, and 1806. London: J.G. Barnard for Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Brown, 1814. 4 o (272 x 204 mm). Half-title. Folding engraved map after Clark by S. Lewis, 5 other engraved maps and plans on 3 plates (map backed with linen and with few losses along folds with loss of a few letters, second map spotted). (Some light browning, few pale stains.) Modern quarter calf, top edge gilt. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION. This edition is textually identical to the first edition except for the ommission of the appendix and Jefferson's tribute to Lewis. Field 929; Graff 2480; Howes L317; Sabin 40829; Wagner-Camp 13:2.
