No. 1 includes a self-portrait by Lewis and his attack on Joyce and Stein 'The Revolutionary Simpleton' (pp. 27-174); no. 2 includes 'Paleface', in which Lewis criticises D.H. Lawrence (pp. 3-112), and a portrait of Joyce after Lewis; no. 3 features The Diabolical Principle (pp. 11-84). The publisher's address is rubber-stamped in violet ink on the title of no. 1.
