LINDBERGH, CHARLES A. Signed photograph depicting Lindbergh standing before the Spirit of St. Louis . [Ryan Aircraft Co., San Diego: circa 1927]. Signed lower center "Charles A. Lindbergh", backstamped "Erickson/ The Flying Photographer". 6 7/8 x 5 1/4 inches (17.5 x 12.5 cm). Three creases to upper portion of image, signature somewhat faded. A signed photograph of Lindbergh with his famous airplane and wearing an uncharacteristic wide grin. This photograph is accompanied by a letter of provenance from the son of a former Ryan Aircraft Co. employee that describes Lindbergh's time in San Diego as the Spirit of St. Louis was being built and reports a pleasure ride offered to his mother in Lindbergh's temporary airplane. C
