lot of 4, all 19th century; includes an unusual cast iron grease lamp with attached saucer base with handle, embossed mark By E. Katzinger Chicago, with hinged lid; 10.25" long x 6" wide x 5" high; PLUS a brass 3 spout Lucerne oil lamp with original chain suspended tools; 19" high; PLUS an early sealing wax smelter; tin with burner having mica windows, pierced tin basket top with bail handle and removable tin bucket for wax, also with bail handle; font in base marked on burner Patd. Jan. 16, 83 & Feb. 11, 73; 9.5" high, excluding bail; AND a cast iron wall-mounted match box with striker base and hinged lid embossed Self-Closing/For Matches & C./Patented. Dec. 20. 1864/D.M. & Co./New Haven; 5.5" long x 3.5" deep x 2.5" high, with traces of old paint. Provenance:From the Estate of John Auraden of Hamilton & Fairhaven, Ohio. Condition:1st- 2nd EXC; 3rd minor surface oxidation, else VG; 4th EXC.
