LOUIS XV – Relation de l'arrivée du Roi au Havre de Grace le 19 septembre 1749 et des fêtes qui se sont données à cette occasion. Paris: Hippolyte-Louis Guérin et Louis-François-Delatour, 1753. 2° (627 x 470mm). Engraved title vignette and head- and tail-pieces, six double-page plates, all by Le Bas after Descamps. (Light marginal soiling.) Contemporary red morocco gilt, the sides centred with the arms of Louis XV in gilt, roll-tooled border with grapes and birds, the corners with fleur-de-lys, the spine with the crowned double L cypher, gilt edges (spine and extremities worn, joints starting, sides scuffed). Provenance : Hugh Lupus, 1st Duke of Westminster (1825-1899).
