Beschreibung:

NWA 10415 – Lunar Feldspathic Impact Breccia Sahara Desert This substantial, complete slice of the important Lunar impact meteorite, NWA 10415, is housed in a special membrane box for easy removal or for visibility on all its sides. Lunar meteorites are very rare and in great demand. Almost all of the recovered Lunar meteorites are very small; the three recovered stones of NWA 10415, found in the Sahara Desert in 2015, weighed just 164 grams. This important meteorite is classified as a Lunar feldspathic impact breccia. It was blasted off the surface of the moon from an impact with a fairly large meteorite, mixed together with molten vaporized rock and recombined in a fine-grained matrix. This lunar meteorite has the typical black matrix with gray and white inclusions of numerous feldspar grains and scattered olivine and pyroxenes. It should be noted that all meteorites, including stony meteorites, are magnetic, with substantial amounts of iron-nickel in their composition, except the meteorites from the moon, Mars and Vesta. Offered in an 8 x 6-inch Riker Mount. Measuring 38 x 30 millimeters, Weighs 3.55 grams
