Madeira, Brig Twins, P. P. Goelet 1806 u. 1vts, 2ms, 1ls, only 1 bottle labelled, missing 20% of right side, states 'Madeira wine, vintage of 1806, imported by P. P. Goelet in the Brig Twins in January 1810, bottled in September 1816, P. Goelet, decanted Jan 1885 by William H Fearing', slip label below main label states 'Recorked April 16th 1919', other bottles missing main label, 2 have similar slip labels, the last has a vertical typed not printed slip label stating 'Recorked April 10th 1919', all with missing capsules and exposed corks. 1 bottle has original very shrunken cork taped inside punt of bottle. The Goelets were an important family in 19th Century New York, and were collectors of Madeira.
