New York (NY): The Press of the Pioneers, 1933. 8vo, illustrated red cloth boards, 229pp. First Edition, number 38 of 200 limited edition copies. Includes fifty-five 5.5" x 8.5" and three 3.5" x 8.5" pages of handwritten notes for the book, PLUS approximately 262 8.5" x 11" pages of typed chapter drafts for the book, some with handwritten corrections, PLUS nine 8.5" x 11" typed letters and one handwritten letter to and from Connelley concerning Wild Bill Hickok and the book, AND two 3.25" x 4.25" printing blocks, one depicting Wild Bill Hickok, one depicting two soldiers of the 7th U.S. Cavalry killed by Wild Bill. Condition: Light even toning to letters, chapter drafts, else VG+.
