Known simply by his pseudonym Marin-Marie, French painter, author, yachtsman, and doctor of law, Marin Marie Paul Emmanuel Durand Couppel de Saint-Front is best remembered for his art works and his solo crossings of the Atlantic. First sailing in the “Winnibelle” and then cruising in the engine-powered “Arielle”, both of these monumental voyages are described in his book.
