.44 caliber, 8" round barrel, S/N 102081 (ca. 1863). Steel finish with brass trigger guard and one-piece varnished walnut grip. Top of barrel marked with one-line New York address. Inspection marks on backstrap and rear of trigger guard. Grip marked on each side with worn inspector cartouches. Condition: Fair. Piece has an overall gunmetal gray patination with all the original blue worn away. Scattered old pitting and oxidation. Grip is in good condition with much original varnish remaining and some minor handling marks. Cylinder scene and other markings barely legible. mechanically fine, bore is mostly dark with some old pitting and worn rifling.
