On Bruch’s G minor Violin Concerto, mentioning Tchaikovsky. Bruch writes about recent and upcoming concerts in Breslau: ‘Brahms was played here by De Ahna und Joachim … Joachim is playing Beethoven on 20 November’. He feels his G minor Violin Concerto is overplayed and would like instead to hear his Romanze for violin and orchestra.
