This copy without the frontispiece portrait, a not uncommon deficiency, since the work was issued in parts, with the portrait apparently to be procured later. Also, lacking four plates that have been excised: Plate 53 - Malva Sylvestris (Common Mallow); Plate 80 - Dianthus Caryophyllis (Clove Pink); Plate 141 - Rosa Gallica (Red Officinal Rose); and Plate 247 - Paeonia Officinalis (Common Peony).
