(8vo) green leatherette stamped in silver. First Edition. Signed and dated "1936" in blue ink on front free endpaper by J.A. Coxe. Scarce, privately printed book of considerable interest. Includes a chapter on the development of the famous Coxe reels, later marketed under the name Coxe-Bronson. Coxe fished with Captain George Farnsworth and pioneered not only reels and tackle, but also big game fishing techniques. Also, a description of the famous "San Clemente Sea Monster." The title-page states "First numbered edition," but copies were not numbered. Lot Amendments Condition: Light wear to binding; toning to endpapers; very good. Item number: 284587
