The smallest is worked in an open fashion from quite weighty gold metal thread, since tarnished. It bears a rope effect tassel to one end and two dull gold metal sliders. The second purse, lightweight and finely worked, combines black and salmon threads to form a leaf design, highlighted in gold threads. The rounded end bears a three sectioned silk tassel in the main colours, supplemented by an embroidered bobble, now appearing silver, probably tarnished from gold. A single slider is similarly embroidered. Finally, a pale green purse with one bulbous end, the work very tight and worked with flowers, in silver, salmon and several green threads.
