Mid to late Edo Period, 18th-19th century A sixty-two-plate suji bachi kabuto russet lacquered with a seven stage tehen kanamono, the bowl with a red lacquer signature, not read, on the front a shikami maedate, to the rear a six lame itamono Hineno jikoro russet lacquered and laced in pale yellow sugake odoshi, russet lacquered menpo with stiff hair moustache and chin tuft, itamono yodarekake laced in yellow kebiki odoshi. A ni mai dangaie do with the upper section having hishinui and lacquered to imitate wood grain as are the kusazuri, the lower section kebiki laced in white as are the kusazuri. Bishamon gote the sode of black kiritsuke kozane laced in bands of dark blue, red, white and pale blue, shino to the forearms and a lacquered mon on the tekko, kawara haidate and shino suneate. Together with an armour box.
