Well documented WWII group of four attributed to Captain N.M. Taylor, Royal Engineers 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, Defence and War Medals, extremely fine with an archive of original paperwork including Soldiers Service Book, Officers' Release Book, Reports, letters, photographs etc Captain Neville Marshman Taylor was born in 1916 and enlisted in the Royal Engineers in June 1940, he was commissioned in 1941, he commanded the 8 Railway Workshop in 1943 before transferring to Italy, Levant and Palestine. He was promoted to Captain in 1943 but was evacuated to England after being injured in an accident. He was demobbed in 1946 and returned to the family home in Royston, West Yorkshire. Taylor was killed in a road accident in the summer of 1967. (4)
